On this job, we started with a small sunken patio with steps that were almost usable due to how steep they were.
The project began by removing 80% of the existing block work and clearing the site with a digger. Altering the area to create the new, much larger and more usable sunken patio with stunning stepped planters.
Following the excavation, our team was able to get started on the new concrete foundations. Once the foundations had set, we were able to begin the construction of new block work retaining walls which surrounded the perimeter of the patio.
Building out the steps down to the patio and the new step flower beds allowed the customer to really see their vision come to life.
With the walls complete, we cut porcelain coping stone tiles and bedded these on the walls to create the modern finish that the customer envisioned. The patio itself was finished with the same porcelain tiles to match.
To finish the project, the walls and stepped flower beds were smooth rendered and the site was tidied and landscaped ready for the customer to enjoy. |
